Boxing's bible, Ring Magazine, has bumped Joseph Parker up it's rankings after his unanimous decision win over  Carlos Takam.

Parker is now eighth in their standings, two spots behind Briton Anthony Joshua, who he's set to fight next year for the IBF belt.

Amongst the confusing and sometimes corrupt rankings from boxing's four major sanctioning bodies (the WBC, WBO, WBC and IBF), the Ring Magazine ratings are seen as possibly the most accurate appraisal of who sits where within in each weight division.

This is what their list looks like.

Champion : Tyson Fury (WBA, WBO champion)

1. Wladimir Klitschko

2 Alexander Povetkin

3. Deontay WIlder (WBC champion)

4. Kubrat Pulev

5 Luis Ortiz

6. Anthony Joshua (IBF champion)

7. Bermane Stiverne

8 Joseph Parker

9. Bryant Jennings

10 David Haye

Klitschko remains their number one contender to Tyson Fury's Ring Magazine belt, while Alexander Povetkin is at two despite testing positive for performance enhancing drugs.

The dark horse in the top ten is powerful Cuban Luis Ortiz, who at 25 wins and one loss, with 22 knock outs, is a man few would like to face.

Former WBA champion David Haye is at 10, two fights into his comeback.
