New Zealand and Indian captains Brendon McCullum and MS Dhoni were drafted by new Indian Premier League teams following corruption scandal.

McCullum was picked up by the new Rajkot franchise, while Dhoni was drafted by Pune.

The two sides are temporary replacements for Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals, who were both caught up in spot-fixing and banned for two years.

Players from Chennai and Rajasthan were made available in the draft for the two teams to pick five players each at the salary they were getting with their old teams.

McCullum was joined by India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, Australian all-rounder James Faulkner and West Indian all-rounder Dwayne Bravo.

Dhoni was selected alongside Australian captain Steven Smith and South African Twenty20 captain Faf du Plessis.

The remaining players from Chennai and Rajasthan will be available to Pune and Rajkot in an auction to be conducted in February.
