For both the Northern Mystics and the Canterbury Tactix Saturday night's final round robin match is a chance to put a shine on an otherwise disappointing season.

Both sides have only won twice in the 2016 ANZ Championship, but due to the poor showings of the New Zealand franchise teams, (Southern Steel aside), they find themselves with a golden opportunity to qualify for a sudden death knockout clash with the Magic.

One issue that the Mystics face in their bid for finals netball is the fitness of star shooter Maria Tutaia.

The silver fern is battling a foot injury, but coach Debbie Fuller is willing to give Tutaia till the last minute to prove her fitness.

"She will have to run through the Captains run on the Saturday morning," she said.

The Pulse can end both sides chances of qualification in the unlikely event of a double figure win over the Melbourne Vixens.
