New Zealand have suffered two heavy defeats in warm-up matches ahead of this month's World Baseball Classic qualifying tournament.
The Sydney Blue Sox were a class above the New Zealand Diamondblacks, following a 10-4 win on Sunday with an even more dominant 12-1 victory on Monday in Sydney.
Shortstop Alan Schoenberger scored New Zealand's only run when batted in by Daniel Lamb-Hunt in the first inning of the second game before the floodgates opened for the Australian Baseball League side.
The Diamondblacks play games against the Canberra Cavalry on Friday and Saturday before heading to Taiwan for the first international tournament they have contested.
The only unranked team in the World Baseball Classic qualifying event, they will play pool matches against Thailand, the Philippines and Taiwan from November 15-18.
