After shooting a five under 67 today, Lydia Ko is in the lead at eight under going into tomorrow's final round of the New Zealand Open.

It's been held at Clearwater near Christchurch for the past three years, but the contract is now up, so where to from here for the tournament?

Usually at this time of the New Zealand Open much of  the discussion is about whether Ko will return next year. But this time it's different.

What's up for decision is the tournament itself, and specifically where it will be held next year and beyond.

"There's obviously lots of people proposing lots of things, and we've got lots of options," says Dean Murphy. "We also have to review what's happened to date."
