A team from New Zealand was one of 150 to take part in the World Hovercraft Championships in Towcester in England.

It's the first time the bi-annual event has been held in the UK and it may be the last after weather played havoc on the first two days of competition.

Italy's Michele Scanavino won the shortened event, hovering around the course at speeds of up to 130 kilometres an hour.
