For either Otago or North Harbour, a title drought will be broken tonight.
Everything points to an Otago win, not that the boys from Harbour are worried.
"We want to finish the season with a championship and we have not done that - it's the first final since 94," said North Harbour halfback Bryn Hall.
While the Highlanders have been Super Rugby champions, Otago hasn't in fact hosted a final since 1998 at Carisbrook.
The last time the two met under the roof in Dunedin this season Otago won by 11 points.
"Everyone's written us off pretty much since the get go - so it's just another game for us really," said Harbour's Chris Vui.
But Harbour - so often a provincial underachiever, has been much improved this season.
Two key players for them have been the inside back pairing of the two Bryns, Hall and Gatland.
Gatland's father, Warren, will be looking on from afar.
"He was here in Wellington for the semi-final but he's back in the UK with the Lions and the end of year games and stuff - but he'll be watching on the TV and looking forward to it," said Bryn Gatland.
Of the four teams in action this weekend, Harbour is the only one that can prevent a South Island clean sweep.
