Rio 2016: Stuart Farquhar - Gunning for glory

At 34, javelin thrower Stuart Farquhar is one of the most experienced members of the New Zealand track and field contingent.

Along with Valerie Adams and Nick Willis, Rio will be Farquhar's fourth Olympics. He made his first appearance on the Olympic stage in Athens in 2004 and had his best performance in London four years ago, reaching the final and finishing ninth.

In the fifth of Newshub's Rio series produced by Logan Swinkels and Greg Pearson, Farquhar gives an insight into just what it takes to throw a javelin on sport's biggest stage.
