All Whites forward Ryan Thomas has signed a new deal with Dutch club PEC Zwolle until 2019.
Thomas said PEC Zwolle has a special place in his heart being the first club he's played for outside of New Zealand.
"I've weighted up my options, but I was in no hurry to go to another club," said Thomas.
The 21-year-old is currently recovering from knee surgery he underwent in February, but is hopeful to return before the end of the season.
Thomas joined the club in 2013 and attracted plaudits when scoring two goals in the Dutch Cup final win over Ajax.
He has played 63 games for the club, complemented by five internationals for New Zealand over the same period.
