Shaun Johnson has confirmed that Tui Lolohea will partner him in the halves next NRL season.

The Warriors halfback has told Fox Sports of the club's plans post this season when veteran standoff Thomas Leuluai moves back to the UK.

"With Thomas Leuluai moving on at the end of this season the No. 6 jumper will be Tui’s for as long as he wants it," said Johnson.

"With the spine we’ll line up in round one 2017 — Issac Luke, myself, Tui, and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck — the expectation will be greater than ever."

There had been speculation that Lolohea and his management team were looking for another club in the wake of a few recent selection disappointments for the 21 year-old.

The Warriors and Lolohea put this rumours to rest last week with both parties firm in their assessment of his long term value to the club.

Lolohea has been selected at fullback this weekend against the Penrith Panthers, his first start since the round 17 clash with the Titans.
