Silver Ferns coach Waimarama Taumaunu has added four training partners to her 12-strong squad for next year's United Kingdom tour.
Courtney Tairi, Bailey Mes, Phoenix Karaka and Malia Paseka will travel with the Silver Ferns, who play two exhibition matches against Scotland in Glasgow on January 12 and 14 before travelling to London for matches against Jamaica and England the following week.
They round out the tour with a final exhibition match against England A on January 21.
Midcourter Camilla Lees, who missed the Constellation Cup and Malawi series last month with a foot stress fracture, returns to the team in place of Katarina Cooper.
"The team of 12 will have to work hard to maintain their spots, and taking four training partners will enable us to continue to grow depth," Taumaunu said.
"We've had the opportunity to look back over the season and there are certainly some areas we need to improve and address."
The tour will be the last time the Silver Ferns assemble and play together before the Glasgow Commonwealth Games in July, and Taumaunu says it will play a key role in their preparations.
The team arrive back in New Zealand on January 24, with players returning to their trans-Tasman league teams ahead of the March 1 start date.
The 17-week ANZ Championship ends in late June, with the Commonwealth Games netball competition starting one month later.
New Zealand: Casey Kopua (captain), Jodi Brown, Leana de Bruin, Shannon Francois, Katrina Grant, Joline Henry, Laura Langman, Cathrine Latu, Camilla Lees, Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit, Maria Tutaia, Irene van Dyk.
