The State of Origin squads for the 2016 series have been released and there are few surprises across both states.

Australia’s Courier Mail reports that the Queensland selectors have remained loyal to their victorious side of 2015 with one exception - the dropping of Warriors prop Jacob Lillyman.

Stand-out Broncos winger Corey Oates is the one debutant, taking his place in the number two jumper.

For the challenging New South Welshmen there are five potential debutants named in Panthers duo Matthew Moylan and Josh Mansour, Rabbitohs half Adam Reynolds, Tyson Frizzell of the Dragons, and Manly's Dylan Walker. Two players are yet to be cut.

Bryce Cartwright joins the extended squad as a  development player.
