All White defender Storm Roux has re-signed with the Central Coast Mariners.

Roux is now contracted with the A-League club until the end of the 2016/17 season.

"I had such a great time in my first season and am happy to extend my stay," said Roux.

"I love the boys and am really looking forward to next season. My focus for the next few seasons will be winning things with the Mariners – whether it’s the Hyundai A-League or the Westfield FFA Cup."

The 21-year-old Roux started his A-League career with the Perth Glory, but left for the Mariners in 2013 after just one appearance for the Western Australia side. He has one A-League goal to his name, scoring against the Phoenix last season.

Roux has played three times for the senior All Whites, including the recent 0-0 draw with South Africa.

While other A-League sides have made recent splashes signing big named players, the Mariners hauled over the side in January with five signings and are now focused on the clubs up and coming stars, re-signed Anthony Caceres and Mitchell Duke as well.

"Since day one the Mariners have worked hard to develop young players," said CCM boss Phil Moss.

"We view Anthony, Mitchell and Storm as key members of our squad, and know that each has a lot of development left in their game."
