Tui Lolohea could have a busy time under the high ball during the Warriors must-win clash with the Wests Tigers.

The Warriors have named Lolohea on the wing in place of the injured Ken Maumalo despite the 21-year-old previously being exposed under the high ball.

He could find himself being tested again in the swirling wind at Mount Smart Stadium on Sunday, with Tigers coach Jason Taylor noted they are likely to put some pressure on him.

"There were some issues with him under the high ball that we've seen," said Taylor.

"You can try and target those things, but if an individual who hasn't been going so well has a good day, then some of things you work hard on can be taken away.

"We're not going to put all our eggs in that basket but we'll need to test him there."

The Warriors and Tigers both find themselves in a similar situation on 24 points and needing other results to go their way.

Both sides need to win their remaining two games and hope that the Gold Coast Titans lose both of their games.

The Titans, sitting eighth, have a three point lead over both sides and play tonight against the seventh-placed Penrith Panthers.

"All we can control is our game tomorrow, we know the Warriors are going to be up for it, as will we on the back of our training session today."

The Tigers arrived in Auckland a day earlier than usual to give themselves the best chance to overcome a sluggish performance and acclimatise to the conditions.

Taylor added that Chris Lawrence has been ruled out of tomorrow's contest, while Kyle Lovett is batting sickness and will be a game-time decision.
