Kevin Durant has showed he still has love for Oklahoma City with his foundation donating NZ$79,160 (US$57,000) to a city charity.

The charity, named Positive Tomorrows provides elementary school education for homeless children in Oklahoma City.

Durant has been considered very much a 'traitor' by Oklahoma City Thunder fans after leaving the Thunder to play with the star-studded Golden State Warriors including unanimous 2015/16 MVP Steph Curry.

He has starred for the Warriors this season, hitting an average of 25.8 points

The Warriors were the same team to eliminate the Thunder from last season's NBA playoffs and have formed the reputation as a NBA 'super team'

They currently sit atop the Western Conference table with an impressive record of 21 wins and just four losses and will look to continue their run in New Orleans against the lowly Pelicans on Wednesday afternoon (NZ time).
