Tyson Fury has taken a shot at the boxing world, including Joseph Parker, after the Kiwi fighter claimed his vacant WBO belt on Saturday.

Fury, the cousin of Joseph Parker's next likely opponent Hughie Fury, controversially relinquished his belts in October due to personal reasons involving depression after rumours circulated of the 28-year-old's cocaine use.

Living up to his reputation of not being a man to mince words, Fury hit out at "bums" who have world belts because of him. However he stopped short of aiming his comments at Parker directly.

"All these bums got world belts because of 1 man the #Gypsyking, remember that. It's getting embarrassing the amount of bums they find.!!!"

If they are directed at Parker, it would contradict what Fury has said about him in the past with the self-annointed 'Gypsy King' saying that Parker was a very good fighter.

"I like what I see with Joseph," Fury told Sky Sports UK before Parker took on Carlos Takam.

"He's a really nice guy, I speak to him a lot on the internet, on Twitter, give him advice and that, and he takes it on board."

Fury also said in the same interview that he admired Parker's toughness.

"He will have to get another couple of fights, 10-rounders in, and good fights, while he waits for his opportunity to fight as mandated challenger, but he can fight, and he's tough and ambitious.

"I like him, he's my type of fighter, Joseph, and I wish him well."

In just another day in the world of professional boxing, it's unlikely that that'll be all Fury has to say on the issue particularly with one of the biggest fights of the decade between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko approaching.
