Seven New Zealand coaches will be attempting to guide their teams to the final at Twickenham. Among them is Bay of Plenty's Vern Cotter, whose underperforming Scotland side will need to find some form quickly if they are to qualify from Pool B.

Cotter's side has spent the summer rebuilding after failing to register a single win in the Six Nations Championship.

"It was frustrating. I think players took on board a lot of things and developed their skillsets and then came together with a determination to do well."

The Scots now have a rugby reputation to restore – while their pride and passion has never been questioned, their performance has.

"We'll go into this competition once again not as one of the favourites, and a little bit under the radar, which suits us," Cotter says.
