Video: Adams and Green discuss groin shot incident - NBA

Kiwi Steven Adams had a relatively quiet game in the Thunder's demolition of the Warriors on Monday, yet still managed to find himself in the thick of the action after copping a groin shot from opposing forward Draymond Green.

Adams fouled Green on a drive to the basket and caught a kick to the 'mid-section' on the follow through, prompting the officials to review the incident and award a flagrant foul.

In a post-match interview Green was adamant that his intentions weren't in the least bit sinister.

"I don’t know how anyone could possibly say I did that on purpose," said Green.

"I'm sure he wants to have kids one day, I'm not trying to end that on the basketball court."

Adams himself was typically understated on the matter, alluding to a similar 'accident' from earlier in the series.

"It's happened before, mate," quipped the 22-year-old." He's pretty accurate, that guy."

Green may be in line for further punishment, including the possibility of suspension, pending league review of the incident.
