Fulham has beaten Queen’s Park Rangers 3-2 at Craven Cottage in today’s English Premier League encounter at Craven Cottage.

And it was all the home side as Fulham jumped out to a 3-0 lead.

The first goal came via a penalty as Samba brought down Ashkan Dejagah allowing Dimitar Berbatov to step up and calmly give the Cottage fans something early to cheer about.

There was plenty more cheering for home fans after 22 minutes. Samba was again involved in the play, caught in possession as he bumbled with the ball, Damien Duff robbing him and off to Berbatov who made it 2-0.

Then in the 40th minute it was three, with John Arne Riise getting in behind the QPR defence and smashing a cross that whacked into Clint Hill and into the back of the net.

Within four minutes, and just before the break, QPR were given a lifeline.

Adel Taarabt took advantage of a Fulham slip in the centre third, pounced on the ball and let loose with an early shot that picked the corner, in off the post.

It could have been 3-2 earlier than what it was, with Loic Remy’s sport kick when Giorgos Karagounic tripped Taarabt. But Remy’s effort was poor, Mark Schwarzer getting down low to his left to save.

Remy did get his goal though, in the 51st minute. Stephane Mbia put the French striker through on goal and he thundered an effort off the underside of the crossbar and reduced the deficit to the solitary goal.

QPR were forced to finish the game with 10 men with Steve Sidwell late on a challenge and a second yellow card giving him his marching orders.
