All Whites coach Anthony Hudson couldn't be happier after it was announced his side will play USA off the back of a friendly against Mexico.

In arguably their two greatest friendly fixtures in the recent history of New Zealand Football, Hudson is relishing the chance to test his squad in two high-profile games.

Newshub's Andrew Gourdie caught up with Hudson to discuss the team going forward and just how the All Whites secured these fixtures.

The All Whites will head to Auckland's North Shore to take on New Caledonia in their first home World Cup qualifier.

The national side will face their Pacific opponents on November 12 in Albany, before travelling to New Caledonia for the return leg three days later.

They will also play Fiji home and away in late March.
