Kevin Durant couldn't hide his emotion when talking about his assistant coach's late wife.
Ingrid Williams, wife of Oklahoma City Thunder coach Monty Williams, was involved in a car crash and later passed in hospital from injuries she suffered.
She was travelling with three of their five children at the time, none of which sustained serious injuries.
Thunder star Durant became emotional when asked to comment.
"I tried to think about what I'm going to say, but I just love Coach Monty so much, man. I feel for him," Durant said.
Holding back tears, the 2014 NBA MVP walked away from reporters before he could finish his answer.
Before joining the Thunder, Monty Williams was the Pelicans' head coach from 2010 to 2015.
