Liverpool have dented Tottenham's hopes of securing a maiden Premier League title, holding Leicester City's biggest competitors for the top spot to a 1-1 draw at Anfield.

Philippe Coutinho finished off a sublime move early in the second half to give the Reds the advantage, running onto a well-timed through-ball from England striker to put his side ahead.

But the prolific Harry Kane made the most of a half-chance not long after when he picked up a cross from Christian Eriksen and swiveled past Dejan Lovren before firing low and hard past Simon Mignolet in the Liverpool goal.

However, they could not find a winner, and the result leaves Tottenham four points behind the league leaders having played one more game.

At the Emirates, Arsenal have kept alive their faint hopes of winning the Premier League title and also avenged last month's FA Cup defeat by thumping Watford 4-0.

Arsenal took just four minutes to score through striker Alexis Sanchez whose header was blocked by Heurelho Gomes, although the keeper was powerless to stop Sanchez scoring from the rebound.

Alex Iwobi doubled Arsenal's lead after 38 minutes when he side-footed home a pass from Sanchez to confirm Arsenal's dominance.

Watford, who conceded early in the first half, also conceded early in the second, when Hector Bellerin's shot took a big deflection to put the Gunners further ahead before substitute Theo Walcott made it 4-0 in the dying minutes.

At Carrow Road, Norwich City snatched a thrilling 3-2 victory over fellow relegation contenders Newcastle United with a last-gasp strike by their Swedish full back Martin Olsson.

It was the third time they had led against a Newcastle side, who are now six points behind their opponents despite substitute Aleksandar Mitrovic twice bringing the visitors level.

Norwich went ahead before the break when Swiss defender Timm Klose headed past Newcastle's third-choice keeper Karl Darlow but Mitrovic levelled in the 71st minute with a glancing header before Dieumerci Mbokani put the hosts back in front.

The Congolese international cut in from the left and smashed the ball into the top corner with his right giving Darlow no chance after 74 minutes, but Serbian Mitrovic then scored again, this time with a penalty, in the 86th after Gary O'Neil handled.

Norwich were not finished though as Olsson raced through and hit the winner with a low drive three minutes into added time.

Manchester City scored three early goals on the way to an emphatic 4-0 win over Bournemouth that kept them fourth in the Premier League.

Fernando, Kevin de Bruyne and Sergio Aguero struck in the first 19 minutes of the match as City blew away their hosts with a clinical display of attacking football.

Midfielder Fernando slotted home from a corner, Belgian De Bruyne, returning to the side after injury, calmly finished a flowing move and striker Aguero powered home a header.

The visitors eased off in the second half before Aleksandar Kolarov added a fourth goal in stoppage time for City who enjoyed a perfect preparation for their Champions League quarter-final first leg at Paris St Germain on Wednesday.

Elsewhere, Sunderland were plunged into even deeper trouble in the fight to avoid Premier League relegation after they failed to turn their pressure into goals against West Bromwich Albion in Saturday's 0-0 draw at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats' leading marksman Jermain Defoe missed two excellent chances to put the home side ahead in the first half and went perilously close to scoring a winner in the 90th minute, only to be deprived by Ben Foster's excellent save.

West Brom rarely threatened and even took off forward Saido Berahino, who had scored three goals in his previous three Premier League appearances against the Baggies, to hand a debut to 16-year-old Jonathan Leko.

Sunderland, who had a Dame N'Doye goal ruled out for offside in the dying seconds, are still deep in trouble in the relegation zone in 18th place, four points behind Norwich City and two ahead of their neighbours Newcastle United.

At Upton Park, substitute Dwight Gayle scored his first Premier League goal of the season to earn struggling Crystal Palace a 2-2 draw at 10-man West Ham United in an entertaining London derby.

Gayle, who earned Palace the numerical advantage after Cheikhou Kouyate was sent off for a reckless challenge on the striker midway through the second half, stroked the ball home after a catalogue of errors by West Ham's defence in the 75th minute.

West Ham came from behind in a rip-roaring first half after a clinical Manuel Lanzini strike and Dimitri Payet's superb free kick cancelled out Damien Delaney's early header for the visitors.

The result was a setback for West Ham's hopes of a top-four finish as it left them in fifth place, three points behind Manchester City. Palace who are still winless in the Premier League in 2016, stayed 16th, seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile Swansea City fought back with goals from Gylfi Sigurdsson and Alberto Paloschi to escape with a 2-2 draw at the Britannia Stadium after the home side led 2-0 through goals by Ibrahim Afellay and Bojan Krkic.

Stoke had five players out with injuries including goalkeeper Jack Butland, but they made light of those absences when Afellay headed them ahead after 13 minutes on his 30th birthday.

Stoke stand-in keeper Jakob Haugaard hardly had a save to make as Stoke took a deserved grip on the game after 53 minutes when Bojan scored with a long-range shot.

But Sigurdsson pulled one back for the visitors from the edge of the box after 68 minutes before Paloschi scored the equaliser with a deflected shot 11 minutes later.
