Top drifter Mike Whiddett or 'Mad Mike' has taken on New Zealand's highest highway, the picturesque Crown Range in Queenstown.
'Mad Mike' is one of the World's top drifters and today he raced around the Range's 47 corners at a breakneck 235 kilometres an hour.
The road is similar to many Japanese mountain passes where drifting originated.
"The guys would race from Tokyo over the hills. It's where it all originated from. So to be able to experience that is just awesome," says 'Mad Mike' Whiddett.
At its highest point Whiddett was an astounding 1076 metres above sea level.
