Ameya Vaidyanathan miraculously walked away after a horrific crash at Oulton Park in the British Formula 3.
The Indian driver made contact with Sisa Ngebulana and his car was launched into the air, rolling multiple times before coming to a stop.
Vaidyanathan was "alert and conscious" after the crash, and was taken to the medical center for a precautionary test. He was released shortly thereafter.
The crash comes one week after fellow F3 driver Zhi Chong Li was sent airborne in another spectacular crash.
"Ngebulana had a poor exit out of the first corner and we were side-by-side heading into the flat kink heading into Cascades. Unfortunately our wheels touched and after that my view was quite disturbing," Vaidyanathan said after being cleared by the medical team.
"I felt quite a few big hits but I have no idea what direction they were in or where they came from," he added.
