The Wellington Phoenix's much-vaunted attack has yet to fire this season, but when it does it could well include some set-piece brilliance from new import Gui Finkler.
The Brazilian-born midfielder is a master at scoring from a free kick, something that he has worked hard at mastering.
"It's something that can change a game," says Finkler.
"So I always kick free kicks all my career, even from a young age I've practised them, and now it just becomes something even more special."
This is the first time the Phoenix have had a set-piece specialist, but now with Finkler at the helm, teams will be very cautious to foul near the penalty box.
The Phoenix have one of the best striker combos in the league, and that was a big reason why Finkler decided to move to the Phoenix from the Melbourne Victory.
"One of the things that got me to Wellington was the players that they have here to play with," says Finkler.
"You know, there's a lot of quality, lots of pace, lots of skill, so we have to use that wisely."
The Phoenix will be hoping to notch their first goal of the season when they face Sydney FC tonight.
