The All Blacks Sevens have edged Fiji 14-12 to book a spot in the final of the Sydney Sevens.
The first half was a tightly-contested affair, a try to Ben Lam the only points for both sides as the All Blacks went into the interval with a 7-0 advantage.
The New Zealanders edged further ahead through one of the tries of the tournament for Akira Ioane, the Blues forward going 80 metres on a rampaging run to the tryline.
Fiji pulled one back a minute later, some slick offloading leading to their first try of the game, then burst through some weak defense to pull to within just two points.
However it was Tim Mikkelsen who extinguished the final Fijian raid with a superb defensive, securing a final berth for his side.
