LIVE COMMENTARY…2 Barcelona Vs Real Madrid 2

Things really starting to bubble over now... Ref blows the whistle and Barca goes through to the semifinal! All video up.

89 mins: What a game of football we have seen - unbelievable and the best El Clasico in years. Cards being dished left and right now...

87 mins: It's raining Real Madrid at the moment on the Barca goal but the fans are screaming for their players to keep the net clean - Ramos sent off for an elbow... nothing wrong with it. ANOTHER shocking decision from the officials.

85 mins: Corner swung in for Real and Ronaldo gets a weak header to it that goes wide. Five to go.

83 mins: End to end stuff with Messi striking one just wide again - he's been close a number of times today.

81 mins: Messi on the ball about 28 yards out and he cracks it and it dips and it dips some more but just not enough to sneak under the bar.

75 mins: Messi forward and is brought down but Pepe went shoulder to shoulder and it was fair.

74 mins: All the 50:50 chances are falling for the whites and they are piling on the pressure from all parts of the park.

71 mins: Benzema has leveled! Two goals in three minutes! Video up ...as Benzema half volleys passed Pinto.

68 mins: Christiano Ronaldo scores, dummied to shoot and rounds the keeper to slot it home. Video up.

66 mins: Granero shoots from miles out... why not, but it sails well over.

65 mins: Messi nearly put Pedro away then with a nice wee flick though Pedro was caught offside.... even though he was well and truly ONSIDE. Officials haven't had a great game.

60 mins: Great move from Real Madrid - they are making waves now and then but they need three - one goal from the visitor's and this match would become very interesting.

58 mins: We have our pictures back. Messi dribbles away as only Messi can. Granero replaces Diuarra, Kaka and Higuain off with Benzema and Callejon on. That's it, no more subs left for Real and the bench is emptied.

57 mins: It's all Barca at the moment as they 'triangle up' and push the pill around the park leaving Real Madrid to chase tails.

53 mins: We've temporarily lost our feed - apologies - and Real Madrid has scored! Wait... no... Sergio Ramos powered a header into the net from a free kick but the referee instead whistles for a foul on Alves. Madrid can do nothing right today - desperately unlucky!

Halftime 2-0 to Barca.

44 mins: Messi brought down and everyone is in. He takes the freekick and the deflection falls to Dani Alves and GOAL - what a strike. Video up .

42 mins: BARCA GOAL! Messi broke away and dribbled and dribbled and then found the substitute Pedro who slotted it passed Casillas with ease. Video up.

41 mins: That man Messi starting to get in the frame more and more as time goes on - watch out for a blinder of a second half from Lionel.

40 mins: Well, if Barca get to the break at 0-0 then they will count it as a victory because Real Madrid have had a tonne of chances.

38 mins: Ramos with an overhead attempt. Video up.

36 mins: Pepe you tosser... just drops to the floor to try and ear a free kick. Get up you clown. No football fans want to see that rubbish. Video up.

35 mins: Messi gets around the back and wins a corner but Ramos is great in the air and heads it away. Now Barca and the fans starting to warm into this... Alexis is through and Pepe challenges and it's a good tackle despite the crowd crying for a penalty. Barca now starting to take some control of the match.

31 mins: Barca for all the chances they've allowed by Real Madrid are still ahead... foul by Ronaldo on Alves and Ronaldo... then the ref starts dishing out yellow cards to Ramos for chat back... every decision made by the officials just then was wrong. Hope they pull their socks up.

Pedro on for Iniesta for Barca - injury replacement.

27 mins: Awful mistake from Pinto as he gives the ball away and then has to make the save from Higuain. Great save but he's put pressure on himself now. RM should be 3-0 up by this stage but they haven't taken their chances. Video up.

25 mins: What a strike from Mesut Ozi! Thirty yards out and he cracked one that took everyone by surprise and it struck the underside of the crossbar but had Pinto beat all ends up. Video up.

23 mins: Barcelona yet to create a chance of their own and you don't often say that after this much time into a game. Messi is fouled.... Barca with a free kick square of the box.... Messi and Xavi talking about what's about to happen... Messi tries to bend one in but easy for Casillas.

20 mins: Ronaldo with another shot but this time it sails over the crossbar. Barca playing a cunning game and trying to build up from the byline - almost inviting Real Madrid to come at them and spread out and then to strike right through the heart or where there is more space. It isn't working just right now though as Madrid is having the running.

17 mins: Ronaldo doing really well and wins a corner through some foot trickery that had Alves mystified. Wins the corner for the visitors.

15 mins: Real should be one-nil up by now and Barcelona has done well to keep things all square. The home side now starting to play the ball around a bit and showing plenty of patience - waiting for an opportunity to open up.

11 mins: This is end-to-end stuff as four white shirts break, with Kaka on the ball on the counter and finds Cristiano Ronaldo is free on the left edge of the area but Pinto is equal to the shot. Video up.

10 mins: Alexis shows some great gas as a beautiful through ball is played and he's unlucky there... VIDEO UP

8 mins: Xavi blasts a free kick right at the wall.

3 mins: Pinto has made a great save from a free kick to the back post.

1 min: What a miss from Higuain. The Real Madrid striker curled the ball the wrong side of the post. Little problem with our live feed which we are working on but will get some highlights up soon.

We've kicked off and Real Madrid need two goals to get through to the semifinals/

El Clasico will start in 20 minutes

45 minutes until kick off!! Now 35 minutes until kick off... Now 30 minutes (can you tell I'm looking forward to this one?)

The Catalans are currently preparing are all for the welcoming of Los Blancos to Camp Nou for the second leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final tie. However, according to club spokesman Toni Freixa, while Barca are focused on defending their 2-1 advantage from the first leg, they remain upset that Pepe has avoided any retrospective punishment for appearing to intentionally stamp on Messi during the second half of their meeting in the Spanish capital seven days ago.

A little over an hour until kickoff ladies and gentlemen.... it's now 8.43am here and kick off is at 10am my time.

Well if this is El Clasico... ever heard of Super Clasico??? Seems like Argentinian sides Boca Juniors and River Plate are trying to pinch the term from Spain... rough.

Are you ready for this one? El Clasico... no matter what football team you support this is a main event match. Kick off about two hours away. We'll get the teams for you shortly as we get set for the second leg of the King's Cup, Barcelona with a 2-1 lead after the first leg. This should be a stunning 1/4 final.

Pregame banter

Real Madrid defender Pepe will play in today’s quarter-final second leg at Barcelona if he is fit, in spite of the controversy over his alleged stamp on Lionel Messi's hand in last week's first game, coach Jose Mourinho said.

The 28-year-old, who was left out of Sunday's La Liga win at home to Athletic Bilbao, is available for the game at the Nou Camp after the Spanish soccer federation (RFEF) decided not to take action against him.

At a news conference where his often difficult relationship with the media hit a new low, Mourinho said Pepe and midfielders Lassana Diarra and Esteban Granero had minor injury problems and a decision on their availability would be made on match day.

"The three have problems (midfielders Lassana Diarra and Esteban Granero and defender Pepe), but tomorrow in the morning we will train and we will decide whether any of the three are in a condition to play or not. If Pepe is fit he will play," the Portuguese said after a closed training session.

Mourinho batted away several questions about what tactics he plans to employ to try to reverse Real's woeful run of results against their arch rivals, where he was an assistant coach in the late 1990s.

Last week's first leg defeat at the Bernabeu was Mourinho's fifth against Barca in nine games since he joined Real; he has only managed one win, a 1-0 success after extra time in last year's Cup final.

"I think that my team stands a chance of playing in the King's Cup semi-finals and will play to try to get there. But we know who are we playing against, we know that we are losing 2-1 and we also know that we can be dumped from the King's Cup semi-finals," Mourinho said.

He declined to comment when asked about an unsourced report in the Spanish media that he plans to leave Real in June.

Mourinho said Real are five points clear of Barca in La Liga with half the season played and that they had won all six of their Champions League group matches.

"When we (Mourinho and entourage) arrived here the club had the tradition of being eliminated from the cup by inferior division teams. We won the cup and we are in the quarter-finals playing against the Spanish champions and the Euro (Champions League) champions. When we arrived here Real Madrid were not even top seeds in the Champions League and at this moment we've the Champions League record of six games, six victories; we are top seeds and with the points we have this will remain for a few more years. And we are leaders in the championship (La Liga). I don't think we have so many problems and I don't think that we are doing things as badly as it seems," he said.
