England have posted the highest ever one-day international total after smashing their way to 444-3 against Pakistan at Trent Bridge.

Alex Hales struck an England record 171 as the hosts surpassed Sri Lanka's record against the Netherlands.

Jos Buttler added to the records with England's fastest ever 50 from just 22 balls.

Pakistan seamer Wahab Riaz's figures of 110-0 were the second most expensive in ODI cricket.

England hit a total of 16 sixes and 43 fours.

Pakistan, in reply, were bowled out for 275 in 42.4 overs with paceman Chris Woakes the chief destroyer, taking 41-4.
