Jordan Ibe's strike helped Liverpool to a 1-0 away win over Rubin Kazan in the Europa League.
The teenager's first goal in Europe lifted Liverpool to second in their group on six points, two points behind Swiss side Sion who drew 1-1 with Bordeaux.
Liverpool toiled hard in a contest that had few chances, James Milner coming the closest in the first half when he linked up well with Roberto Firmino and smacked his shot across goal and off the crossbar.
Ibe got the breakthrough for the visitors seven minutes into the second half after a glorious solo run.
The lively winger picked the ball up in midfield and ran through the heart of the Rubin Kazan defense, before coolly placing his effort past the keeper from the edge of the box.
The win was manager Jurgen Klopp's first victory in Europe with his new side.
