Heavyweights Manchester United and Liverpool are on course to meet in the final of the EFL Cup after being drawn on opposite sides of the semi-final draw.
Liverpool will meet Southampton, who knocked out Arsenal on Wednesday night with a 2-0 win at the Emirates Stadium.
The win puts Southampton in the last four of the competition for the first time since the 1986-87 season.
Liverpool, winners of the cup a record eight times and finalists in 2016, saw off Leeds on Tuesday evening with a 2-0 victory at Anfield.
In the other semi-final, Manchester United play Hull.
United beat West Ham 4-1 at Old Trafford on Wednesday, while Hull needed penalties to get past Newcastle following extra-time in their tie on Tuesday.
The first legs will be played the week commencing January 9, with the second legs a fortnight later.
