The All Blacks Sevens have bounced back from last night's controversial eight-players-on-field gaffe to record a comprehensive quarterfinal win over the United States.

Ben Lam scored the first try of the game after a quick tap from Sonny Bill Williams, ghosting through a gap and placing the ball underneath the goalposts.

And they had their second not long after, skipper Tim Mikkelson laying the ball off to Augustine Pulu to dot down in the corner.

The Ioane brothers were the next to exhibit their skills, combining exquisitely early in the second half to take the game beyond their American opponents -- before a huge hit from Pulu saw the ball fall out of a US player's hands and spread out to Mikkelson, who scored to make it 24-0.

From there it was game over, the United States scoring a late consolation to give the scoreline a healthier look but ultimately falling well short against an in-form New Zealand side.
