The Warriors might have lost on the night, but a faithful Taranaki crowd stuck around to pay their respects to hometown hero Issac Luke.
Following the Warriors 38-12 loss to the Raiders, an emotional Luke led hundreds of fans in the stands in a passionate haka.
The Warriors stood behind Luke, watching on in awe, as the hooker thanked his people for their support with the NRL taking a game to his home region for the first time.
Men, women and children all performed the haka back at Luke, who was overcome by emotion at the conclusion.
