Video: Kevin Magnussen limps away from high-speed F1 crash

Renault driver Kevin Magnussen has escaped with a minor injury after a high-speed crash which wrecked his car at the Belgian Grand Prix.

The Dane crashed into a tyre barrier out at the high-speed Eau Rouge corner at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit but climbed from the debris and was able to walk away with a limp.

Renault team principal Frederic Vasseur gave the all-clear after Magnussen was treated at a nearby hospital A Renault team tweet said: "Renault boss: 'He has a small cut on the ankle - he had an X-ray and things look OK'."

Magnussen's crash led to a red flag to halt the race while work was carried out to repair the tyre barrier.

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg took home the win ahead of Australian Daniel Ricciardo and world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Hamilton took some of the shine off his Mercedes teammate's triumph by finishing third after starting in the last row.

The result means Hamilton stays top of the drivers' standings, nine points ahead of Rosberg, who collected his first win in Spa-Francorchamps, his sixth of the season and the 20th of his

"It was a great weekend and I'm very happy with the result," Rosberg said.

"Congratulation to Lewis. From last to third must have been pretty impressive. It is great to get the win, it is a legendary track career."
