LIVE COMMENTARY… FINAL SCORE FRANCE 1 Vs USA 3

It's all over... The USA is through to the final!

83 mins: USA score again! Video up.

79 mins: Goal Wambach! She heads it from the corner. Video up.

76 mins: Great attack by the USA and the ball is pout on a dime for Wambach to have a crack at with her head but as she backs away her legs get tangled with a defender and they both go down. No penalty though.

75 mins: Bit of a scramble in the USA goal as Solo gets miffed with a french striker for trying to head the ball from her hands.

72 mins: Free kick to the USA just outside the box and what a save from Deville in goal. She spilled the Megan Rapinoe shot and then dealt with the follow up. Video up.

65 mins: Solo gave the ball away and France should have done better with the opportunity.

58 mins: Well what a semi final we have on our hands now. France continue to be the more dominant of the two sides.

54 mins: France goal! Bompastor got a touch! France back in it! Video up.

53 mins: We think we've sorted out our video problems so it should be working now but the French haven't sorted out their problem - down 1 to 0 - despite raid after raid on the USA sticks. Hope Solo is having an absolute blinder in between them for the USA.

46 mins: Gaetane Thiney breaks away for France but Solo doesn't need a hand to sort things out and stop any chance.

That HALFTIME USA 1 VS FRANCE 0

46 mins: Just entered the first of two minutes of stoppage time at the end of the first half.

41 mins: Well what a cracker of a first half and this one - despite the USA goal - still hangs in the balance. You get a feeling that if the French can work it closer into the box and make the many half chances they're a little easier. But that USA defence is a hard on top crack.

38 mins: USA should have gone 2-0 up through Wambach as she's given a free header at the back post but she directs it back across the face of the goal. She should have done better with that. Video up.

37 mins: Our apologies if you are having trouble with the video -n we are working on it. The one this about the USA is that they are making France shoot from distance. This is a quality encounter.

33 mins: What a strike from France - Sinia Bompastor. Louisa Necib dummied a shit from a free kick, went short and Bompastor hit the crossbar. It's a French wave at the moment and the USA is hanging on. Solo was well beaten by the shot. Video up.

30 mins: It's all France at the moment and Solo continues her fine game with a great save. Video up.

29 mins: France now starting to enjoy more possession and have a couple of shots on target but straight at keeper Solo. Video up.

24 mins: Immediately the action swings to the other end and Camille Abily lets one rip from distance but it flies well wide.

22 mins: Lovely football from both sides. You'd say the USA is well in control but the French side is not letting them have it all their own way by any stretch of the imagination. Corner to the USA... plenty of height in the box... great delivery by Cheney and Carli Lloyd gets her head to it but it's well off target. That was a warning for France though of things to come.

17 mins: Wambach is gaining in confidence for the USA team in white. She's causing those French fullbacks all sorts of issues.

14 mins: Deville came and never looked liked getting there which gave veteran USA player Abby Wambach a sniff of a chance but it wasn't to be. USA looking more dangerous when they have the ball.

12 mins: Wow, what a start but France knows they are not out of it yet and pushing players forward.

9 mins: Goal USA as Lauren Cheney gets a touch to score. It was a great ball in from the left side of the field by Heather O'Reilley and Cheney's second goal of the championships came from a nice touch that gave keeper Celine Deville no chance. Video up.

7 mins: France don't look overawed by their opponents at all. They've just won their first corner. First shot by France, ohhh close and tipped over by Hope Solo. Video up.

5 mins: Not a great deal of action to get up as video just yet as both sides simply settle themselves slowly into the game. First corner of the game to the USA through an Amy Rodriguez run. It's a little over hit.

2 mins: France with the first incisive run of the match, into USA territory via the right flank. Strong USA defence keeps this one at bay.

1 min: It's France who get's the game rolling and the teams have something in common as they start the match - both qualified for the semi through a penalty shoot out.

That's the anthems done with... down to 90 minutes (or more) of football.

Here we go.... anthems of both countries soon to be played... this should be a ripper. Teams coming down the tunnel now.

Kick off is not far away and we will bring you video action as soon as the game begins and some special football is there to share.

Pregame

The players on the U.S. women's soccer team feel just fine, thank you, not tired a bit. The high they were on after that epic Brazil game? That's so a few day’s ago.

The Americans are one game away from reaching their first World Cup final since 1999 - which also happens to be the last time they won soccer's biggest prize. The only thing on their minds now is beating France.

Abby Wambach says losing "is not an option." The U.S. wants to win its third World Cup, and France is "standing in our way."

Unlike the Americans, who have reached the semifinals at each of the six World Cups, this will be the first trip for Les Bleus. They've never beaten the Americans, either, going 0-11-1 in their previous meetings. The U.S. has scored 38 goals in the 12 previous games to just eight for France.
