Lionel Messi has become the first man ever to score five goals in the Champions League.
It was Lionel Messi at his magical best that broke the deadline when in the 25th minute he ran onto a lovely ball and his chip was too good for Leno in the Leverkusen net.
Then just before the break Iniesta found Messi and he beagged a double, cutting back to find his left boot and drilling it into the bottom corner.
Then the double became three when Messi produced an ever better chip after a superb touch and great run for his hat-trick.
Tello made it four, breaking the Leverkusen defence with a great run and finishing easily.
Then Messi scored his fourth to rub even more salt in the visitor’s wounds in the 55th minute.
Tello was strong down the left side and grabbed his double for the 6-0 scoreline to Barcelona.
Then Messi scores his fifth and created history.
