The rugby world is trying to come to grips with the sudden death of Munster coach Anthony Foley, who was found dead in his Parisian hotel room overnight at just 42-years-old.

In Paris for their European Champions Cup match-up against Racing 92, a swarm of Munster fans pulled together outside the host’s home ground to pay tribute with a haunting version of ‘Fields of Athenry’.

Foley will be remembered as a legend of Irish rugby and one of Munster’s very best players, with the back-rower known for his hard work both on and off the pitch.

He won 62 international caps for Ireland and played for his province over 200 times.

The match against Racing has been postponed with a replay date not yet confirmed.
