Nikita Howarth has won gold in the 200m individual medley SM7.

The 17-year-old finished with a time of 2.57.29secs ahead of Canada's Tess Routliffe and Courtney Jordan from USA.

Howarth claimed bronze in Tuesday's 50m butterfly final.

Earlier, New Zealand's flag bearer, javelin thrower Holly Robinson, has thrown a personal best to win silver at the Rio Paralympics.

Robinson, 21, unleashed a 41.22m effort on her fifth attempt in the women's javelin F46, for athletes with limb deficiencies.
