Stalwart Spurs striker Harry Kane gave his side the lead after Erik Lamela threaded a pass that beat the offside trap.
Kane controlled it brilliantly, before rounding Asmir Begovic and rolling it into the empty net.
The visitors then pounced again before the break when Branislav Ivanovic's pass was broken up by Kane and fell to Christian Eriksen, who then looked up and found Son Heung-min who slotted it home with a composed finish.
Chelsea pulled a goal back as they undone Spurs with a set-piece when Gary Cahill lashed in Willian's corner after 59 minutes.
Ten minutes from time and Eden Hazard played a one-two with Diego Costa and bend his effort right into the top corner to push Leicester back in pole position.
