One year out from the Olympic games, the Ferns face a challenging qualifying series against Australia.
Ahead of the two-leg Oceania Olympic qualifying, the Ferns are warming up with a three-game series against Japan.
Japan, ranked 15th in the world, were too strong for New Zealand in the opening game in Christchurch yesterday, going on to win 75-58.
