One judiciary hearing lingers, but another outrage has controversially winged its way to the forefront of attention as the All Blacks prepare to face Italy in Rome this weekend.

Flanker Adam Thomson received a one-week ban for stomping Alasdair Strokosch in the test against Scotland, still it seems to be further reviewed by the IRB, but now Tamati Ellison has outraged European journalists and rugby fans over a 'chicken wing' incident.

Video footage clearly shows Ellison holding Scotland prop Ryan Grant’s arm, bending it back and pinning it under the All Black’s body weight.

The incident occurred in the seventh minute of the match and has been sent to IRB chief executive Brent Gosper.

Gosper tweeted: “Saw it. Understand. Apparently debatable it would warrant a red card according to experts.”

Watch the video for footage of the incident.
