15 players have been sanctioned after an "ugly" brawl broke out in a pre-season friendly between Argentinian rivals Estudiantes and Gimnasia.
Three players were handed eight-match bans, including Uruguay defender Alvaro Pereira, who will miss his La Liga debut with Getafe when they take on Malaga.
Three Gimnasia players copped five-match bans, while another nine from both sides were suspended for up to four matches.
The Argentine Football Association sanctions come on top of disciplinary action from the Argentinian government who have already banned 12 players from entering stadiums for two league matches and ordered Gimnasia to play behind closed doors for the next two games.
Players were seen punching and kicking each other throughout the brawl which resulted in the benches of both squads becoming involved on the field.
