Para swimmer Cameron Leslie will be chasing a third Olympic gold in a row at the Rio Olympics.

But it's not just swimming that Leslie hopes to be competing in.

The Wheel Blacks are the national wheelchair rugby team and have a proud Paralympic history, winning bronze in Sydney and gold in Athens, but they failed to qualify for London 2012.

They're now ranked eighth in the world, and to get to Rio they need to beat fourth-ranked Japan.

It's a tough ask, but Leslie is just enjoying the ride.

"I enjoy the physicality of it," he says. "I guess it's the whole 'macho man', puff your chest out, I-can-hit-you-harder-than-you-can-hit-me sort of banter."

Leslie would also like to cement himself in New Zealand Paralympic history by becoming the first Kiwi in 27 years to compete in two different sports.
