All Whites defender Winston Reid is set to take the field this weekend for West Ham after hobbling off against Manchester United.

Reid came off after 62 minutes in West Ham's 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the FA  Cup, but has shaken off any injury fears and is likely to be in the starting side to face Chelsea this weekend.

The hour appearance was Reid's first for West Ham since he was injured against Liverpool over a month ago, but the New Zealander has been quick to calm fears he may have come back early and re-injured himself.

"I had a conversation with the manager and we had to see how I felt. I felt alright and I tried to keep it simple. It is nice to be back out there and with a week's training behind me, I look forward to facing Chelsea next weekend," Reid told WHUFC.com

"I think when you get booked after a minute or so. You have to play carefully and that tempers how you can play. I felt a bit of cramp, I didn’t pull my hamstring though."

West Ham currently sit fifth in the Premier League, two points outside a Champions League place with nine games remaining.
