These days there are a million apps to do a million things, and more are released with every day that passes.

Which begs the question, what ones should I download?

Well this week, I've been doing all the dirty work for you so that you don't have to sit there wasting all your data away.

The kind of apps I look for are the ones that make your life that much easier, a little bit more interesting, and most importantly give you a sense of entertainment on your smartphone.

With that, let's kick it off with app number three, TalkShow.

To put it simply, this is the latest app the Internet is currently freaking out about. It's basically Periscope for texting.

Some have even gone as far as to describe it as becoming the new social platform de jour. In my opinion that just means 'new-aged' MSN messenger.

TalkShow lets users host message-based 'talk shows' about anything that tickles their fancy. Whether we're talking sports and politics or television and music, for you it is but a click and type away. You can notify followers when you've gone 'live' and the rest is text history. You, as the 'host', guide the commentary, reaction, and of course, the GIFS.

Let's move on to app number two, PhotoVault.

This is for those who tend to need a bit more privacy -- photo privacy that is.

No one likes just anyone being able to accidentally (or intentionally) view their private photos and videos, so this app puts a stop to that.

Users can easily login the app using a personalized password, and upload private photos to their heart's content.

The best thing about it is the photos aren't uploaded to any separate cloud server -- it's all on the users' phone. And if you forget to log out, have no fear, it automatically does it for you.

You'll be happy to know if you download it this week, you'll get it for free!

Finally, this is my favourite app of all.

Coming in at number one, Fake Call Pro.

Ever needed to get out of a bad date? What about impress your friends, or better yet prank them!

Fake Call Pro helps its users get out of any curly situation simply by faking getting a call.

You can set it up to look like it's from your boss or even a celebrity. Yes you could be the guy that says, "Sorry fellas, just have to take this call from Taytay". Okay maybe not THAT.

But however you choose to use it, you can do it at the press of a button.

If that fails then the app gives you the option of delaying a call to ring at a specific time.

I can already hear you saying, "The amount of times I've needed this app".

Well now you do!
