A Google search for the Vatican has been giving a link to a paedophile website as one of the top results.
The link, www.pedofilo.com – the Italian work for paedophile - apparently appeared early Saturday, Italian news agency ANSA reported. It connected to an apparently empty site.
Google Italy spokesman, Simona Panseri told ANSA it was not clear if this was a result of hacking.
“I cannot confirm if it is an attack because I have not had more precise information from the US engineers to understand the nature of the problem,” he said.
