Costume shop threatened with legal action over Oscar statues

The people behind the Academy Awards, the multi-billion dollar movie industry moguls in Hollywood, have sent a pointed and threatening legal letter to a small Auckland costume hire company, warning them not to hire out statues shaped like Oscar.
You’d think they'd have more important things to worry about.
Like the fact Jennifer Aniston really can't act.
Or the fact that so many of their blockbusters feel lame, tired and predictable.
But no, the academy is seriously worried about eight statues of Oscar, on the other side of the world.
