Flourishing enthusiasts aim for new record

It's basically throwing a large stick with a heavy weight on the end as high as you can without dropping it or injuring anyone in the immediate vicinity.
It’s called ‘flourishing’ and yes, it sounds strange and dangerous, but practitioners take it very seriously.
In fact it's a dying art, but one that enthusiasts are trying to resurrect with a new world record at tomorrow's Hororata Highland Games near Christchurch.
