Free milk returns to schools

Around a year ago Campbell Live started a campaign, based on one simple question about the price of milk: why does something we produce so well and in such vast quantities cost so much, and why is it increasingly out of the reach of struggling families?
We questioned farmers. We questioned supermarkets. Mostly, we questioned Fonterra.
As a result of ongoing public pressure Fonterra announced a price freeze.
Then, late last year Fonterra announced they would be doing something extraordinary - resurrecting a programme that was last seen four decades ago.
Lachlan Forsyth was there today as Fonterra’s milk in schools programme got rolling.
