Red zone residents blast 'unrealistic' insurance offer

There is no delicate way to put this: They live in the red zone, they have no working sewer connections and so they crap in a bucket.
Why? Because they’re saving money to buy another home and getting the toilet fixed would just come out of any payout and if the house is going to be demolished anyway, why bother?
Jimi and Jane Yazdanpanah have been searching for a new home for months, but can’t find anything they can afford. They blame their insurance company for making an unrealistic offer.
Like many others, they’re now taking their insurers to court.
