Walking above the treetops on the West Coast

Drive south from Hokitika for about 20 minutes, make a left turn and head inland on the Woodstock-Rimu Road until you get to Frosty Creek, and then stop and turn off the car engine and listen.
No, it's not native birds you'll hear, but an Aussie work gang in the West Coast bush accompanied by the mechanical whine of heavy cranes and lifting gear.
Follow the sound and you come to a truly amazing sight rising out of the bush: a treetop aerial walkway.
